Food Assistance Employment and Training Work Activity Program Individuals who apply for food assistance may be required to complete an assessment of their employability and participate in a work activity assignment for a specified number of hours per month. Work activity assignments include, but are not limited to, participating in the agency’s Job Search Program, attending employment related workshops, and/or work at one of the county’s Work Experience Program sites. The number of hours an individual must complete per month is determined by the component to which the individual is assigned. Failure to complete the assigned work activity component may result in the closure or reduction of the food assistance benefits.
