The Shelby County Department of Job and Family Services recommends to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services the licensure of Type B and Type A Child Care Homes and Providers.  A Type B Home is a private home that provides care for up to six children.  A Type A home is a private home that provides care for seven to twelve children.  The number includes any related children who are younger than six.  No more than three children can be younger than two.  Care can be provided to private pay families or those receiving publicly funded child care.
